The trial involved a number of BEVs intended for distribution activities in the Milan area. In addition to evaluating their performance in terms of reliability and transport efficiency, the tests also analyzed the benefits the vehicles can bring in terms of environmental impact.

The new electric trucks will be deployed in nine markets across Europe, including UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden. The trucks will be of the updated and more energy-efficient models of Volvo FH Electric and FM Electric.

Based on Volvo’s well-known FM model electric, the truck is very versatile and can be adapted to meet specific requirements of various transportation tasks. Sales start is in the first quarter of 2024, and production start is in the second quarter of 2024.
