U.S.-based electric van manufacturer Canoo has recently relocated its main headquarters from Torrance, California, to Justin, a city not far away from Fort Worth, Texas. Tony Aquila, the founder and CEO of Canoo, has got some major work interests in Texas, indeed.

The Canoo project, based on the development and manufacturing of advanced and agile electric delivery vans, had to face some major challenges at the beginning. Then, the initiative had a go thanks to some significant orders made by very big groups in the U.S., such as Walmart, KingBee, or U.S. Postal Service, not to mention the collaboration with NASA.

Canoo: a very agile electric delivery van

According to Tony Aquila, Canoo electric delivery van “has the turning radius of a small passenger vehicle on a parking friendly, compact footprint, yet the payload and cargo space of a commercial delivery vehicle. This is the winning algorithm to seriously compete in the last mile delivery race, globally.”

We’ve written about Canoo in the May issue of our Sustainable Truck&Van magazine, available here.
