Dachser acquires Drummond Distribution to strengthen its Scottish logistics network
Dachser is acquiring Scottish logistics company Drummond Distribution, adding five locations, around 100 trucks and 46,500 square metres of warehouse space to its network. The deal strengthens Dachser's road logistics presence in Scotland and its connections between local companies and European markets.

Dachser is expanding its road logistics network in the United Kingdom with the acquisition of Drummond Distribution, its long-standing partner in Scotland. The companies have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Drummond generated approximately GBP 20 million in revenue in 2025 and employs around 175 people. The family-owned company operates five locations across Scotland’s Central Belt, between Glasgow and Edinburgh, and has worked with Dachser since 2008, connecting Scottish customers with the German logistics group’s European network.
The acquisition also brings approximately 46,500 square metres of warehouse space, around 100 trucks and 80 trailers into Dachser’s network.
Dachser expands its presence in Scotland
The deal fills a geographical gap for Dachser, which currently has no locations in the region. According to the company, the acquisition will therefore expand its network coverage without creating overlapping structures.
Operations will continue under Drummond’s existing management team, led by Damon Burns. As the current owners gradually leave the business, the management team will report to Mark Rollinson, Managing Director of Dachser UK & Ireland.
“The acquisition of Drummond strengthens our network in the United Kingdom and sets the course for further growth,” said Alexander Tonn, COO Road Logistics at Dachser, adding that the deal should provide Scotland’s export-oriented industries with closer connections to European economic regions.
