A couple of years ago, logistics provider Dachser completed the acquisition of Swedish Frigoscandia, quite an important player in the distribution of temperature-controlled and frozen food. With the completion of the transaction, all of Frigoscandia’s approximately 1,300 employees have been transferring to Dachser. More into details, since the turn of the year 2026, the Norwegian and Finnish activities of the food logistics subsidiary have been fully integrated into Dachser. Full integration in Denmark will follow this year.

Now, former Managing Director of Frigoscandia, Kristian Jönsson, is the new Managing Director of Dachser Nordics, effective February 1st. In his new role, Jönsson is responsible for the three business lines Dachser European Logistics, Dachser Food Logistics, and Dachser Air & Sea Logistics in the four Nordic country organizations in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

Dachser and Frigoscandia: future together

“I am looking forward to expanding my area of responsibility at Dachser and driving the company’s growth in the Nordic countries in a holistic manner,” declared Kristian Jönsson, Managing Director Dachser Nordics.

“The appointment of Kristian Jönsson is a further step toward standardizing and streamlining the management and organizational structure in the Nordic region,” added Alexander Tonn, COO Road Logistics at Dachser. “By closely linking Dachser’s business lines at all levels, we can leverage synergies in production and offer our customers high-quality transport and logistics services from a single source. With his international management experience, Kristian Jönsson will play a key role in further developing the region in this direction.”
