DC charging manufacturer Kempower has opened a new research center in Lappeenranta, Finland, their home country. The center can be found in LUT University’s campus. Currently there are six researchers working in the EMRC team in Lappeenranta together with two researchers from Kempower. More researchers will be recruited for the ongoing projects, such as HETE (Heavy Electric Traffic Ecosystem program) and future aviation. Furthermore, the location on LUT University’s campus in Lappeenranta gives possibilities to provide opportunities for doctoral thesis, thesis workers and trainees as well.

LUT University is one of Kempower’s international university networks together with Tampere University in Fnland, the FREEDM Systems Center at NC State in the US, and Technical University of Denmark.

Kempower enhancing research activities in Finland

“Our most important task is, no more and no less, to save the world. In this work, we need outstanding companies such as Kempower by our side,” added Juha-Matti Saksa, Rector of LUT University. “At LUT, we solve global challenges through science and education, and we provide companies with the expertise of top specialists as well as the skills and potential of our students to support their success.”
