Tata Motors is expected to complete the acquisition of Iveco Group by Q2, 2027. The entire operation was announced more or less one year ago. The news comes from several media platforms, including Indian ET Auto. The international website quotes Tata Chairman N Chandrasekaran, speaking at the company’s annual general meeting.

“We have secured the majority of these regulatory approvals, arnd are progressing well on the remaining few. We look forward to completing the transaction by Q2, 2027”, he said. Tata Motors is expected to increase international footprint by acquiring Iveco Group. As reported last year, the entire operation, which does not include the Defense business, is worth 3.8 billion euros.

Besides the truck segment, Tata Motors highlighted the importance to access the advanced powertrain business, by acquiring also FPT, the driveline branch of Iveco Group, with headquarters located in Turin.
