Italy, Alpitronic involved in the opening of the first megawatt charging station at the Brenner motorway
The installation inaugurated a few days ago features a power cabinet with 1000 kW output, equipped with both MCS and EV dispensers. This configuration enables high-power charging of electric trucks in just 30 to 40 minutes – designed for maximum reliability and efficiency.

Italy-based charging system manufacturer Alpitronic participated in the official opening ceremony of the very first megawatt charging station located at the Brenner motorway, located near Bolzano, close to the Austrian borders. Indeed, Autostrada del Brennero S.p.A. / Brennerautobahn AG, this is the name of the company which manages the motorway, is advancing high-power charging infrastructure along one of Europe’s key freight corridors – a critical step toward reducing emissions in heavy-duty transport.
