CATL to open battery swap stations for electric trucks in China
The system was officially released a few days ago during a dedicated event in Datong, Shanxi province. Back in 2023, CATL launched the brand Qiji Energy to boost the adoption of battery swap systems when it comes to heavy-duty vehicles. According to Yang Jun, CEO of Qiji Energy, CATL has already launched at least 30 battery-swap enabled electric truck models in China.

CATL is developing battery swap modules and stations for cars, but also for trucks. Indeed, the Chinese battery manufacturers, currently the overall leader in its own sector, has just released the so-called 75# station addressed to electric trucks, similar to the 20# and 25# stations conceived for cars.
