Chery’s DELIVAN to unveil its first production electric vans at IAA 2026
DELIVAN, the new European-focused commercial vehicle brand from Chery, will unveil its first two production electric vans at IAA Transportation 2026. The Hannover premiere will mark the transition from concepts to production vehicles ahead of the brand’s phased European market launch in 2027.

Chinese automotive group Chery is preparing to take another step into the European commercial vehicle market. DELIVAN, the new van brand created by Chery Commercial Vehicle with a specific focus on Europe, will unveil its first two production electric vans at IAA Transportation 2026.
The two battery-electric models will represent different vehicle sizes within DELIVAN’s planned European range. The company has yet to disclose their names or technical specifications, which are expected to become clearer when the vehicles make their debut in Hannover.
They will be joined by four converted variants, intended to demonstrate the flexibility of the underlying vehicle platforms for different professional applications. DELIVAN will also announce collaborations with European conversion specialists, including new partnerships in Germany.
From concept to production in less than six months
DELIVAN itself is a very recent addition to the European commercial vehicle landscape. Chery Commercial Vehicle launched the brand globally at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham in April 2026, where it presented an electric commercial vehicle concept alongside other future logistics solutions.
IAA will therefore mark the transition from showing what DELIVAN intends to build to presenting the vehicles it actually plans to sell.
The company says it will begin taking orders in selected European markets in the fourth quarter of 2026, followed by a phased market introduction during 2027. The precise launch markets have not yet been identified.
DELIVAN builds its European presence
Chery is meanwhile establishing a local structure around the new brand. DELIVAN has its European headquarters in Liverpool and is setting up a German subsidiary, while partnerships with local companies are intended to support vehicle conversion, services and market development.
One such relationship has already been announced with Gruau, which will work with Chery Commercial Vehicle on conversions for the DELIVAN electric range using its industrial footprint in France, Italy and Poland.
At IAA, the manufacturer will also present its three-part service and technology ecosystem: DELIVAN PRO, focused on service and vehicle uptime; DELIVAN X, covering conversions and customisation; and DELIVAN I, dedicated to connected and intelligent fleet technologies.
Further agreements with customers and European strategic partners are due to be announced during the show.
For Chery, which already has a substantial international automotive presence, DELIVAN represents a more targeted attempt to establish itself in Europe’s commercial vehicle market. Hannover should now provide the first real indication of what that strategy looks like in production form.
