Daimler Truck will soon rely on a new commercial vehicle center located in Koblenz, Germany. In addition to new locations (Munich-Aschheim, for instance), expansions of existing sites (Würzburg) and acquisitions of existing operations (Passau), the Mercedes-Benz Koblenz commercial vehicle center is also one of the key Own Retail projects.

An entirely new building will be constructed on the southern part of the site on Friedrich-Mohr-Strasse starting in autumn 2026. For this purpose, the current building dating back to 1963, most recently used as a logistics hall, will be dismantled from spring 2026. The current branch on the northern part of the site will remain open to customers until the new building is commissioned.

Daimler Truck’s new center in Koblenz

More into details, sales and service for Mercedes-Benz trucks as well as service for Mercedes-Benz and Setra buses will be offered in Koblenz from early 2028. The new commercial vehicle center will also serve as a central point of contact for the financial services business of Daimler Truck Financial Services and as a rental location for CharterWay vehicles.

“The truck business is characterized by a high level of complexity, intensive consulting requirements and strong customer relationships. Through our company-owned retail operations and locations, we maintain close dialogue with our customers and continuously develop products and services. That is why we are convinced that our Own Retail operations will continue to be decisive for our success in the future. We plan to expand our Own Retail network by more than 60 percent by 2030. The complete renewal of existing locations, such as now in Koblenz, also plays an important role in our strategy”, stated Stina Fagerman, Head of Marketing, Sales and Services Mercedes-Benz Trucks.
