American company Range Energy and ZF are strengthening their partnership in the field of electrified trailers that may help road tractors reduce emissions and consume less. In fact, by integrating ZF Commercial Vehicle Solutions’ AxTrax 2 e-axle with Range Energy’s eTrailer system, the German group helped Range Energy develop a scalable solution that effectively transforms a traditional diesel truck-trailer into a hybrid vehicle.

Range Energy and ZF: partnership to cut road transport emissions

The latter is capable to cut emissions by up to 70 percent, help transport companies save money in annual running costs, as well as enable 100 percent zero-emission refrigeration.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to team up with startups like Range Energy through Plug and Play and unlock the ideas that will help shape the future of commercial vehicles”, stated ZF Commercial Vehicle Solutions in a social post.
