Chinese truck maker SANY expands its European electric vehicle range with five models
At IAA Transportation 2026, Chinese manufacturer SANY presented a five-model battery-electric truck range for Europe, covering long-haul and regional transport as well as construction and municipal applications. The line-up includes the e263S tractor, e263R rigid, e360 and e363 6x2 chassis, and the e435 8x4.
SANY is stepping up its ambitions in the European truck market. At IAA Transportation 2026, the Chinese manufacturer showcased a five-model battery-electric line-up designed to cover applications ranging from long-haul and regional logistics to construction and municipal operations.
The range marks a significant expansion from the e263 4×2, whose European launch SANY announced last year. The new European eTruck family now comprises the e263S 4×2 tractor, e263R rigid, e360 and e363 6×2 chassis, and the e435 8×4 for heavy-duty construction applications.
SANY e263S targets European long-haul operations
At the heart of the road transport offering is the e263S 4×2 tractor, homologated for combinations of up to 42 tonnes. It is equipped with a 636 kWh LFP battery and an 800-volt electrical architecture, with SANY claiming a range of more than 500 kilometres.

The truck supports CCS charging at up to 400 kW, while Megawatt Charging System (MCS) compatibility is also part of SANY’s development roadmap. Continuous power is rated at 420 kW, rising to a peak of 730 kW.
Alongside the tractor, SANY is broadening the range with vehicles aimed at more specialised applications. The e263R provides a rigid alternative, while the new e360 and e363 6×2 chassis have been developed for European body applications including refuse collection, material handling and construction. The platform is offered with 450 or 600 kWh battery configurations and three wheelbases. Availability is scheduled from the first quarter of 2027.
Completing the line-up is the e435 8×4, aimed primarily at heavy construction duties.
Service network will be crucial to SANY’s European plans
As with other Chinese manufacturers entering Europe’s heavy-duty market, however, the challenge extends well beyond the vehicles themselves. SANY plans to rely on Putzmeister and the Alltrucks Truck & Trailer Service network to support its expansion.
The manufacturer had previously announced a European support structure including hundreds of Alltrucks workshops, a spare-parts warehouse in Germany operated by Putzmeister, 24/7 roadside assistance and remote diagnostics.
SANY says it has already put more than 50,000 electric trucks into operation globally, giving the manufacturer considerable experience with battery-electric heavy vehicles. Its appearance in Hannover nevertheless represents a different challenge: turning that scale into a credible presence in the highly competitive European truck market.
