Chinese brand SuperPanther has recently signed an agreement with Austrian commercial vehicle manufacturer Steyr Automotive for the industrial production of electric trucks. This marks SuperPanther’s entry into the European market. Indeed, the Chinese manufacturer participated in the last edition of IAA Transportation, showing off its electric truck models. At that time, the possible agreement with Steyr Automotive was announced.

SuperPanther trucks to approach the European market

“This partnership is one of several positive signs in the business areas of Steyr Automotive. Our plastic parts painting business, for example, is in the process of hiring around 80 new employees. Incoming orders for our MUT superstructures for waste collection and street sweeping are also developing positively”, stated Steyr Automotive.

“Steyr Automotive highly values its strategic partnership with SuperPanther. We will combine Steyr’s experience in vehicle manufacturing and its modern production capabilities with SuperPanther’s cutting-edge expertise in the development of electric drive systems”, added Manfred Eibeck, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Steyr Automotive.
