SuperPanther eTopas 600 enters European operations as production ramps up
Chinese electric truck manufacturer SuperPanther has started commercial operations of the eTopas 600 in Europe following the launch of series production in Austria. The company targets around 100 deliveries in Europe by the end of 2026 and 1,000 in 2027, while also developing new electric and automated driving technologies.

SuperPanther is moving from testing to commercial operations in Europe with the eTopas 600, its 4×2 battery-electric tractor developed for the European market and manufactured in cooperation with Steyr Automotive in Austria.
The truck has received European type approval and is already operating with customers in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Poland and the Czech Republic, according to the manufacturer. During a meeting with Sustainable Truck&Van at IAA Transportation 2026, SuperPanther said the first six trucks had been delivered in Europe by the end of July, when series production started. DHL is among the first customers.

SuperPanther now aims to deliver around 100 trucks in Europe by the end of 2026 and 1,000 in 2027. The targets are significant for a company founded in China only in 2022, which says it employs around 500 people and has already delivered almost 1,000 vehicles in its domestic market.
The eTopas 600: 621 kWh battery and dual CCS charging
The eTopas 600 is equipped with a 621 kWh battery and offers a claimed range of up to around 560 km. SuperPanther quotes energy consumption of approximately 0.94 kWh/km, although actual performance will inevitably depend on payload, vehicle configuration and route.
One of the truck’s more distinctive features is its dual CCS charging system. By connecting two chargers simultaneously, combined charging power can reach around 660 kW under suitable conditions. The electrical architecture is also designed for future compatibility with the Megawatt Charging System (MCS).
For its European operations, SuperPanther is developing a broader support network. Alltrucks is the company’s service partner, while the manufacturer is looking for additional sales and workshop partners in individual markets.
New electric technologies are already under development
In Hannover, SuperPanther also showed some of the technology intended for future product generations. This included a research truck modified for megawatt charging and the new EverDrive electric axle, rated at 500 kW continuous power and 43,000 Nm of continuous torque.
According to the manufacturer, the new axle is 130 kg lighter and 15% smaller than the previous generation. A new high-voltage controller combining power electronics, energy distribution and control is also claimed to cut system weight by more than 50 kg. Both technologies are intended for future product cycles rather than the current eTopas 600.

SuperPanther and DHL look at automated electric trucks
SuperPanther is also extending its relationship with DHL beyond vehicle deployment. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding in Hannover to explore how real logistics operations, operational requirements and vehicle data could support the development of intelligent and automated electric trucks.
Specific projects, locations and deployment schedules have yet to be defined. SuperPanther nevertheless plans an L2+ highway driving assistance pilot in 2027, with the driver remaining responsible for the vehicle.
