Sinexcel, in partnership with Windrose, a rising star of zero-emission and intelligent long-haul EV trucks, has successfully achieved megawatt-level charging on electric trucks. The charging test was conducted with a Windrose R700 eTruck utilizing Sinexcel’s newly launched megawatt-level charger in Foshan, Guangdong Province.

The test started from a state of charge (SOC) of 51% and reached a maximum SOC of 97%, with a total charging duration of 38.6 minutes. It took only 19.4 minutes of charging to go from 51% to 80% SOC, providing approximately 200 km of range, with the charging current peaking at 968.9A, and the duration exceeding 900A lasting nearly 20 minutes.

Windrose and Sinexcel to begin partnership

Wen Han, founder, chairman, and CEO of Windrose, expressed his enthusiasm: “Witnessing the successful megawatt-level charging on-site was truly exhilarating. This achievement brings sustainable long-distance transport for trucks and buses closer to reality. Our collaboration with SINEXCEL has involved testing their chargers across Europe, and Australia working alongside their local partners Mondo and go EV. We have also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Mondo for further cooperation. We are excited to soon expand our testing to the US and other cities in Europe and look forward to manufacturers like SINEXCEL accelerating the expansion of heavy-duty EV charging infrastructure in the future.”

Raymond Fang, founder and CEO of SINEXCEL, added: “The first successful megawatt-level charging demonstration with Windrose’s e-truck is an enormous step forward and also validates SINEXCEL’s technological capabilities in line with industry standards. With the new megawatt-level charging solution, we have improved charging efficiency by 30% through the integration of both air-cooled and liquid-cooled charging ports. To accelerate the transition to green transportation, we are committed to developing solutions that are sustainable and reliable. With more partners like Windrose, we look forward to introducing our megawatt-level charger to other markets soon, thereby accelerating the development of a global megawatt-level charging network for electric trucks, buses, and beyond.”
