The Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 world tour has completed its first major stage, with professional driver and content creator Tobias Wagner, known as Elektrotrucker, covering approximately 3,500 kilometres from Hannover to Turkey.

The journey began on September 20 at IAA Transportation 2026. Wagner travelled through the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria before reaching Turkey, where he visited the Mercedes-Benz Türk plant in Aksaray in mid-October.

According to Wagner, only three charging stops were required during this first part of the expedition, with no reported charging problems.

The eActros 600 continues towards Asia

The vehicle is based on a series-production Mercedes-Benz eActros 600, modified for the expedition with a specially developed motorhome body and additional equipment, including a mobile charging solution.

This configuration differs from a conventional heavy-duty truck operating with a full commercial load, an important distinction when interpreting the driving range achieved during the journey.

Wagner has now continued towards Georgia. The next stages are expected to take him through Central Asia and China, before travelling onwards to Southeast Asia.

The overall expedition aims to cover approximately 45,000 km across around 30 countries on five continents, with a maximum of 80 charging stops. Further stages are planned in Australia, North America and South America.

The project is intended to document the performance of battery-electric heavy-duty technology under different operating and infrastructure conditions, including regions where high-power charging facilities for trucks remain limited.
