Palfinger invests €1 million in new sales and service hub in Portugal
Palfinger has opened a new sales and service facility in the Lisbon area, strengthening its presence in the Iberian Peninsula. The €1 million investment increases equipment mounting capacity by 60% and service capacity by 40%, bringing several operational activities under one roof.

Austrian lifting equipment manufacturer Palfinger has inaugurated a new Sales & Service Hub in the Lisbon area, Portugal, as part of its ongoing expansion in the Iberian Peninsula. The opening follows the inauguration of a similar facility in Madrid just one month earlier.
The new Portuguese hub represents an investment of approximately €1 million and brings together sales, service, logistics, workshop operations and equipment installation at a single location.
The facility is intended to strengthen Palfinger’s operational capabilities in Portugal while supporting its wider distribution and service network across the Iberian market.

Installation capacity increases by 60%
One of the main developments concerns the expansion of the facility’s equipment mounting operations. The number of dedicated mounting bays has increased from five to eight, corresponding to a 60% increase in installation capacity.
At the same time, Palfinger reports a 40% increase in service capacity, aimed at improving the facility’s ability to handle maintenance and technical support activities.
Bringing installation, workshop and logistics operations together at one site is expected to simplify internal processes and provide greater operational flexibility. According to the company, the additional capacity will also allow the Portuguese operation to support other parts of Palfinger’s European network when required.
Palfinger strengthens its Iberian operations
The Lisbon investment follows a broader process of expansion and consolidation undertaken by Palfinger in Spain and Portugal over the past decade.
Together with the recently opened Madrid hub, the new facility reinforces the manufacturer’s regional infrastructure for equipment installation, maintenance and customer support.
Palfinger also states that the Lisbon site incorporates energy-efficient technologies designed to reduce energy consumption and the facility’s environmental footprint, although no specific performance figures have been disclosed.
The investment forms part of the company’s Strategy 2030+, which includes expanding its service capabilities and improving operational efficiency across its international network.
