The European Council has finally given its verdict on the Euro 7 standard, which is expected to set permitted emission levels for new internal combustion engines. For the first time, a single EU legal act covered several automotive segments, such as cars, vans and heavy-duty vehicles.

As for trucks, according to the report released by the TRAN, the target remains 30% for the reporting period 2030–2034, as set by the current legislation.
