As reported by Germany-based international platform Electrive, Traton Group could build a third battery assembly plant for truck key components in Europe. This is due to to the idea that electric truck demand may rise quite soon, as the roadmap outlined by the EU Commission shows.

The coalition was established by Daimler Truck North America, Navistar, Inc. (belonging to the TRATON Group), and Volvo Group North America. The Groups involved are the same that managed to create the Milence project in Europe.

The first charging hub will be equipped with 2 chargers and have 4 charging bays when it opens at the end of November. Additional charging bays are planned for the first quarter of 2024.
