Thermo King marks its long-standing partnership with Broliveira, one of Portugal’s largest companies specialising in international road transport. In a recent fleet expansion, Broliveira added a mix of 70 trailers with Advancer A400 and A500 Spectrum refrigeration units, reinforcing their commitment to high standards in cold chain integrity. The company now operates a fleet of 135 trailers, each equipped with Thermo King refrigeration systems averaging three years of age.

According to Thermo King, the integration of Advancer units has led to measurable fuel savings for Broliveira, generating a reduction of about 15% in average annual fuel consumption compared to previous models, directly enhancing operational efficiency and environmental performance.

“At Broliveira, we consider Thermo King and Frigicoll as true partners. We work as a team and, when challenges arise, we find solutions together,” said Boaventura Verdasca, CEO of Broliveira. “Our collaboration rests on three key pillars: Trust, rooted in equipment reliability; Partnership, underpinned by close cooperation; and Sustainability, achieved by adopting latest technologies that reduce fuel consumption and emissions.”

“Thermo King’s refrigeration technology gives us greater confidence and peace of mind. The units ensure stable in-box temperatures, which is critical for transporting pharmaceuticals and perishable foods. This maintains cold chain integrity and safeguards sensitive cargo. The much lower fuel consumption compared to other systems sets a new benchmark for operational efficiency,” added Verdasca.
