The Fresno WattEV charging depot creates a key link between the ports of Oakland, Stockton and inland freight hubs in the northern San Joaquin Valley. Indeed, the Fresno depot is located on the busy Highway 99 corridor in the Californian city.

The dispenser, which supports charging with either high-power CCS (up to 560 kW) or MCS (up to 1.2 megawatts), will be available for sales in July 2026. The Kempower Mega Satellite Flex supports multimodal use of charging sites for both commercial and passenger vehicles.

According to Prologis, the hub, spanning 12,500 square metres, is already under construction and will be developed in two phases. The demonstration showed how battery-electric trucks can do more than transport goods. Through bi-directional charging, trucks can also support the power grid by providing flexibility services such as peak shaving, grid balancing, and energy storage.
