We have tried to contact Flexis and are awaiting a response or official comment.
Flexis electric vans: which future for the company?
In recent months, Flexis has unveiled three software-based electric vehicles designed for last-mile transport. In particular, as we saw at the latest edition of Solutrans, the group is focusing on the revamped Trafic and a step van with a rather unusual appearance and features for the European market. At the helm of Flexis is CEO Philippe Divry, while Pierre Sirolli, former head of Renault Trucks Italia, is responsible for Software and Services. Here is an interview he recently gave us.
Flexis’ stated goal is to have the first vehicles on the road by the end of this year. Germany, France, and the United Kingdom are the first target markets, with plans to enter the Italian market very soon. According to the company’s plans, the marketing of electric vans should be shared between Renault, Renault Trucks (part of the Volvo group) and Flexis itself, based on a sales model that is also new and not entirely clear. So far, Flexis has stated that it has signed at least 40 MoUs with logistics companies across Europe.
