Huawei megawatt charging for heavy-duty electric trucks

In concrete terms, Huawei 1.5 megawatt charging solution claims to charge a heavy truck up to 90% within 15 minutes. Also, speaking of efficiency, the new EV charger is 30% more efficient and costs 20% less in the operational segment compared to previous-gen charging solutions. The newly-introduced supercharger can also deal with thermal runaway during high-power charging and remains stable in -30°C to 60°C.

Huawei has also partnered with SF Express and JD.com to deploy over 5000 electric heavy trucks adapted to megawatt supercharging and will fully build such a route from 2025 to 2027.
