JAC Motors, which also took part in the latest edition of Solutrans, is returning to IAA Transportation, taking place in Hannover from September 15 to 20, 2026, with four electrified vehicles developed with the European market in mind.

At its stand C08 in Hall 12, the Chinese manufacturer will showcase the N90 EV and N42 EV electric trucks, the SUNRAY PRO battery-electric van and the T9 PHEV plug-in hybrid pick-up.

The 2026 edition will mark JAC Motors’ second participation in the event. Compared with its IAA debut in 2024, the manufacturer now has a more developed European organisation. This includes the establishment of JAC Motors Italy, with responsibilities covering product, marketing, after-sales and spare parts, while the company’s commercial network is also being expanded in Germany, Spain, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Two electric trucks for distribution

The N90 EV is a 9-tonne GVW electric distribution truck equipped with a 100.46 kWh CATL battery. It offers a claimed WLTP range of 180 km and supports DC charging at up to 100 kW.

The more compact N42 EV, meanwhile, uses a 77.28 kWh CATL battery, which JAC describes as one of the largest in its category. Its claimed WLTP range approaches 200 km.

The N42 EV is not entirely new to Hannover: JAC already presented the model at IAA Transportation 2024 as part of its European electric commercial vehicle strategy.

From an electric van to a plug-in hybrid pick-up

The SUNRAY PRO is based on a dedicated skateboard platform developed specifically for electric vehicles. Its cargo compartment offers up to 8.3 cubic metres of volume, while maximum payload is rated at 1.3 tonnes. The purpose-built electric architecture also enables a particularly low loading floor.

Completing JAC’s IAA line-up is the T9 PHEV, a plug-in hybrid pick-up aimed at both professional and private customers. Its 4DHT hybrid system has also been developed for off-road driving.

JAC claims a combined range of up to 1,000 km under the Chinese CLTC cycle, a figure that is therefore not directly comparable with European WLTP range figures.

The T9 PHEV has already been introduced in other markets. JAC describes its hybrid architecture as delivering up to 1,000 Nm of system torque, while the manufacturer has also been developing the model specifically with international markets in mind.

Beyond the vehicles themselves, JAC is highlighting its collaborations with CATL and Volkswagen Group, while continuing to strengthen its European after-sales network – a crucial step if the Chinese manufacturer is to establish a stronger foothold among European commercial vehicle fleets.
