Krone expands trailer services and spare parts network across Europe
Krone is strengthening its European aftermarket activities with additional workshops, a broader multi-brand spare parts offering and increasingly integrated digital services. At IAA Transportation 2026, the group also highlighted its growing portfolio of brands and its continued focus on refrigerated transport and electrified trailer solutions.

At IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, Krone Commercial Vehicle Group brought together Krone, Knapen, Schwarzmüller, Hüffermann, Trailer Dynamics and Gigant on a single stand for the first time.
The Built as one message, already introduced ahead of the exhibition, took concrete shape particularly in the services that Krone intends to provide throughout the operational life of its trailers, from spare parts supply to maintenance and digital support.
Seven additional workshops and a multi-brand spare parts offering
On the service side, the integration of Schwarzmüller adds seven workshops to the network available to Krone customers, particularly in southern Germany and Austria.
The facilities in Passau, Eltmann, Kundl/Kramsach, Lieboch, Vienna, Wels and Mäder can provide maintenance and repairs for Krone trailers even without an existing maintenance contract.
The group is also expanding the Krone Trailer Parts Shop with a multi-brand approach, targeting fleets operating trailers from different manufacturers. Through mykrone.blue, the parts shop is integrated into Krone’s digital services platform.
The aim is to make the process from vehicle data to a service request or spare parts search more straightforward, effectively bringing vehicle information, maintenance and parts procurement into the same digital ecosystem.
Krone’s offering also includes Eco, Prime and Comfort tyres, as well as R retreaded tyres. The manufacturer plans to fit Class A efficiency tyres as standard on production vehicles, highlighting the potential contribution of lower rolling resistance to reducing the energy consumption of the complete vehicle combination.
Refrigerated transport remains a key part of Krone’s strategy
The group’s strategy also extends to refrigerated transport, a well-established part of Krone’s portfolio.
At IAA, the manufacturer displayed its Cool Liner equipped with a Thermo King electric refrigeration unit and a BPW generator axle, while the group is also working with Trailer Dynamics on electrified semi-trailer solutions.
Speaking to Sustainable Truck&Van in Hannover, Krone’s Julian Dango confirmed that the cold chain will continue to play an important role in the company’s offering.
The broader approach reflects Krone’s intention to move beyond the trailer itself and maintain a closer relationship with fleets throughout the vehicle’s working life, combining aftermarket support, spare parts, digital services and increasingly integrated solutions across the group’s different brands.
