Krone presents new LED lighting for its vehicle range. The focus is on a newly developed round light and LED light strips for cargo area lighting. The new Krone round light replaces the previous three-chamber round light.

The three central light functions – tail light, brake light and indicator – are no longer separate, but combined in a single light chamber. These functions are supplemented by separate reversing lights and triangular reflectors. The rear fog light is located in the licence plate module. Intelligent electronics on the circuit board eliminate the need for additional ballasts or encoder boxes for flashing side marker lights.

Additionally, Krone also uses new LED lighting in the cargo area. The LED light strips, which can be selected on one or both sides, produce uniform, bright illumination over the entire length of the trailer. A single light strip provides a light output – measured at the centre of the cargo area – that corresponds to approximately two work lights from the previous portfolio. The LEDs are arranged at regular intervals over a distance of around 12.5 metres and produce a homogeneous light pattern that significantly facilitates loading processes.

Krone up-to-date LED lighting system

The new rear light and LED light strips offer durable, energy-efficient solutions that meet the requirements of modern transport logistics. “With the new lighting systems, we are consistently pursuing our goal of harmonising functionality, economy and design”, explained Georg Bergmann, product expert at Krone Trailer. “Especially when it comes to safety-relevant components such as vehicle lighting, it is important to have well-thought-out technology that works reliably in everyday use and at the same time offers added value for our customers. Thanks to optimised thermal management, the new LED light defrosts at least as quickly as previous filament variants”.
