The autonomous-ready Z9 and more: Skyworth to make IAA debut with five commercial vehicles
Skyworth Auto will make its first appearance at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover with five next-generation commercial vehicles. The line-up will include the global premiere of the Skyworth Z9, a new battery-electric heavy truck combining Level 4 autonomous driving with intelligent connectivity.

Skyworth Auto, the commercial vehicle brand of Skywell Group, will make its first appearance at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, Germany, bringing five next-generation commercial vehicles to one of the world’s leading international trade fairs for commercial vehicles, transportation and logistics.
Under the theme “Smart Ecosystem for New Era”, Skyworth Auto will showcase a diverse product line-up spanning intelligent heavy-duty transportation, autonomous sanitation, smart urban mobility and commercial logistics.
The exhibition will also mark the global premiere of the Skyworth Z9 Intelligent Autonomous Heavy Truck, giving international customers and industry professionals their first opportunity to discover the company’s latest flagship commercial vehicle.
Five commercial vehicles of Skyworth Auto heading to IAA Transportation 2026
At IAA Transportation, Skyworth Auto will present five models covering different commercial vehicle applications:
- Skyworth Z9 – L4 Autonomous Intelligent Heavy Truck: a next-generation battery-electric heavy truck developed for intelligent and autonomous transportation applications and equipped with Level 4 autonomous driving technology.
- Skyworth G18 – L4 Autonomous Electric Refuse Compactor Truck: an intelligent electric sanitation vehicle designed for urban sanitation and closed-road operating scenarios.
- Urban Elf Robobus – L4 Autonomous Intelligent Shuttle Bus: a smart mobility solution developed for low-speed transportation applications including parks, campuses, airports and residential communities.
- HONGTU V9 – Intelligent Electric Cargo Van: a flexible electric commercial vehicle designed for urban logistics and commercial transportation.
- HONGTU X – Intelligent Range-Extended Chassis Cab: a versatile range-extended platform developed to support customised commercial vehicle applications.
Together, the five vehicles demonstrate Skyworth Auto’s expanding portfolio and its ambition to bring intelligent technologies to a broader range of commercial transportation scenarios.
Skyworth Z9 to make its global premiere in Hannover
One of the main highlights of Skyworth Auto’s Hannover debut will be the global premiere of the Skyworth Z9 Intelligent Autonomous Heavy Truck.
With a new design language inspired by the concept of “Across the Universe”, the Z9 represents Skyworth Auto’s vision for the next generation of intelligent heavy-duty transportation.
The new electric truck combines electrification, Level 4 autonomous driving and intelligent connectivity, with the aim of exploring new possibilities for autonomous transportation in demanding commercial environments.
