Looking at the BEVs, Stellantis leads the market in Europe with 38.8% market share, being number one in Italy with 47.5% share; Germany with 28.2% share (up 5.5 points vs. 2022); U.K. with 47.9% share; Spain with 48.9% share; and France with 44.5% share.

The Luton plant will produce the fully electric Vauxhall Vivaro Electric, Opel Vivaro Electric, Peugeot E-Expert, Citroën ë-Dispatch and Fiat Professional E-Scudo in both right and left-hand drive. The plant will manufacture predominantly for the UK Right Hand Drive market.

According to ACC, "this operation will accelerate the development of ACC and strengthen its position as a key player in the battery industry to equip high-performance, low-carbon electric vehicles". The gigafactory are supposed to be located in France, Germany and Italy.

Stellantis will have eight fuel cell hydrogen versions of mid-size and large vans produced in-house: Citroën ë-Jumpy and ë-Jumper, Fiat Professional E-Scudo and E-Ducato, Opel Vivaro and Movano, and Peugeot E-Expert and E-Boxer.

The factory may be built in Spain under a possible cooperation between Stellantis itself and Chinese battery manufacturer CATL. Zaragoza is the most likely location for the new gigafactory.
