Andreas Follér, former Head of Sustainability at Scania, is the new Chief Sustainability Officer at TRATON Group, the global entity that gathers some major brand in the mobility sector, such as Scania, MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, Navistar, and RIO. Follér will maintain the two roles until his successor is in place.

Andreas Follér at TRATON Group

Last year, Sustainable Truck&Van published an interview with Andreas Follér dealing with several hot topics: from the possibilities and challenges of electrification in the truck sector to the prospects on fuel cells, up to the efforts Scania is putting on R&D of internal combustion engines to make the above-mentioned transition smoother and cleaner. Here’s the full interview.

In 2022, TRATON announced higher investments in e-mobility, up to 2.6 billion euro by 2026, in order to push on zero-emission vehicles. At the same time, the international group announced that “the share of conventional drives in the product development budget will be scaled back accordingly”.
