The BMZ Group has broken ground for the construction of its new production facility in the so-called “Skopje 2” development zone for technology and industry in North Macedonia. The new production facility covers an area of 6,800 sqm, with the possibility of further expanding the facilities in the future. With an investment volume of 65 million euros, the construction represents another important milestone in BMZ’s global expansion plans.

BMZ’s expansion plans in North Macedonia

From January 2025, BMZ will start to relocate its production lines from the current facility in Skopje to the new location. Operations are scheduled to be fully underway by May 2025. “The construction of this modern production facility demonstrates the trust that international companies, such as BMZ, place in North Macedonia. This project is further proof of the positive economic development of our country”, commented Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski.

“With this new facility, we are laying the foundation for BMZ’s future expansion while ensuring that we remain competitive in the global marketplace. We are looking forward to becoming a part of North Macedonia’s economic growth and to a successful future”, added Jelica Ivanovska, Managing Director of BMZ North Macedonia.
