According to several media reports, Stellantis is planning to produce 100,000 hydrogen-powered vehicles by 2030. Most of them could be light commercial vehicles. Stellantis will have eight fuel cell hydrogen versions of mid-size and large vans produced in-house, in both France and Poland.

The first B6.7H hydrogen internal combustion engines rolled off the production line in March 2024 and will now be integrated into Tata Motors’ trucks. Hydrogen internal combustion engines provide diesel-like performance and operating range while running on zero-carbon hydrogen fuel.

HVS have completed the initial build of the first of the prototype rigs at the Silverstone site, which will shortly be despatched to UTAC, Leyland for the initial rig testing. The build of several other APs is now underway.

"With the founding of Voith HySTech GmbH, we can serve the growing customer requirements in a targeted manner and leverage the existing growth potential in the hydrogen sector with our broad expertise," said Toralf Haag, CEO of Voith.

The so-called hTGX will be initially produced in about 200 units for special applications and distributed in selected customers in Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Iceland and some more non-European countries.
