Coca-Cola chose an electric Mercedes eActros as the accompanying truck for its tradizional Christmas tour throughout all Austrian federal states from mid-November until shortly before Christmas. This year, the company is placing a special focus on resource efficiency and sustainability at its roadshow.

“We want to bring emotional moments to people all over Austria, while keeping a close eye on our sustainability goals,” emphasized Philipp Bodzenta, company spokesman for Coca-Cola Austria. In addition to LED lamps, which reduce electricity consumption by up to 90% compared to conventional light bulbs, the company therefore relies on electric cars for the crew.

Coca-Cola Santa’s Freightliner truck will, as always, be the center of attention. However, the highlight of this year’s Christmas truck tour is the accompanying truck, which transports elements from the Christmas village: An all-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 300 with three battery packs and a range of up to 330 kilometers.
