Milence has inaugurated its very first electric truck charging hub in Immingham, UK. It happens a few days after the official inauguration of the Italian hub, located in Bagnolo San Vito, near Mantua, Northern Italy. Another recent advancement of the Milence project dealt with the addition of the first megawatt charging systems at the hub located in Belgium, at the port of Antwerp Bruges.

According to Milence, the Immingham hub, situated on the A180 with direct access to the M180, M18, and M1 motorways, is ideally placed to serve the vital transport and logistics operations connecting the UK with Europe.

Milence opens charging hub in the UK

As usual, phase one of the Immingham hub boasts four high-performance CCS chargers, providing access to eight charging bays and offering a power output of up to 400kW. With a commitment to build the largest electric truck charging network in Europe and supporting the industry’s transition to a sustainable future, this is just the beginning for Milence in the UK. By 2027, Milence aims to have at least 1,700 high-performance charging points across Europe and the UK.

“The opening of our first UK charge hub in Immingham marks a significant step in the UK’s transition to electric road transport. This strategically located site underscores our commitment to providing reliable and accessible charging infrastructure for the growing number of electric truck operators. This is just the first step in our UK expansion, and we are dedicated to working with all stakeholders to accelerate the shift towards a sustainable future for the transport industry”, commented Anja van Niersen, CEO of Milence.
