Milence opens fifth charging hub in Belgium, with four 1.5 MW MCS charging points
Milence has inaugurated a new electric truck charging hub in Temse, Belgium, featuring eight charging bays, including four equipped with Megawatt Charging System (MCS) technology. Located between Antwerp and Ghent, the facility strengthens the company's European network and will contribute to real-world MCS testing under the EU-funded MACBETH project.

Milence has opened its fifth charging hub in Belgium, located in Temse, between the major logistics centres of Antwerp and Ghent. The new facility provides eight charging bays for heavy-duty electric vehicles, four of which are equipped with combined MCS/CCS chargers delivering up to 1,500 kW. The remaining four bays offer CCS charging at up to 400 kW.
The site is strategically positioned along the North Sea–Mediterranean TEN-T corridor, supporting freight transport connections between Belgium, France and Southern Europe. It is part of Milence’s strategy to develop public charging infrastructure along Europe’s main logistics routes.
Milence expands megawatt charging infrastructure
The Temse hub is also part of the European MACBETH project, which focuses on the development and real-world deployment of Megawatt Charging System technology for heavy-duty electric vehicles.

By providing substantially higher charging power than conventional CCS systems, MCS is expected to reduce charging times and make battery-electric trucks more suitable for long-distance transport operations.
“The opening of our fifth charging hub in Belgium marks another step in the development of a reliable European charging network for electric trucks,” said Lars Minekus, Regional Manager Nordics, Benelux & UK at Milence. “With Temse, we are not only strengthening an important logistics connection between Antwerp, Ghent and the rest of Europe, but also actively contributing to the further development of megawatt charging,” he added.
Further updates on the MACBETH project and its real-world MCS testing activities are expected in early 2027.
Charging tariffs and facilities for drivers
According to Milence, ad hoc charging tariffs in Belgium start at €0.379/kWh, excluding VAT, with the same rate applying to both CCS and MCS charging. Volume-based agreements are also available for transport operators.
The new hub provides toilets, showers, coffee, vending machines and outdoor seating areas, allowing drivers to use charging stops for their rest breaks.
