Petit Forestier has added nearly 300 eDaily to its fleet. To date, as stated by the group, already 275 bodied vehicles have been delivered to the Group’s French and European branches. This deployment stems from the MoU signed between Petit Forestier Group and IVECO in September 2022, which includes an order for 2,000 chassis cabs to be fitted with refrigerated bodies by Lecapitaine.

The eDaily vehicles selected by Petit Forestier Group offer a real-world range of up to 150 km, even when fully loaded and accounting for the refrigeration energy demand. “Perfectly suit for urban deliveries, the eDaily delivers up to 140 kW (190 hp) of power and up to 400 Nm of torque”, stated IVECO in their press note.

Why Petit Forestier likes IVECO eDaily LCVs

“When additional power is needed, drivers can activate the model’s distinctive Hi-Power function for an extra boost. Energy consumption is further optimised through the driving mode selector, allowing drivers to prioritise either maximum power or minimal energy use. The One-Pedal Drive mode further enhances efficiency by converting braking kinetic energy into electricity, thus reducing overall consumption and brake pad wear while simplifying driving”.

In addition, the ePTO system, which was previewed by Petit Forestier Group, is particularly suited to refrigerated vehicles. It can also operate with the electric network to recharge both the vehicle and power refrigeration equipment. This feature, which is unique in the world of electric vehicles, simplifies operations by reducing charging steps and optimises both economic and energy performance.

“To meet environmental challenges, our goal is to provide our customers with the means to operate lower-emission assets. That’s why we actively support them in the decarbonisation of their fleets. The arrival of the eDaily marks an important milestone in the long-standing partnership between Petit Forestier Group and IVECO, with whom we share a deep commitment to sustainable development and the energy transition. Our fleet of electric vehicles enables our customers to reduce their environmental impact integrating seamlessly into urban environments where silence is a value”, said Yann Leriche, Director of Assets & Supply at Petit Forestier Group.

“The eDaily proves that zero-emission mobility can deliver performance, reliability, and versatility — even for demanding refrigeration applications. We are proud to strengthen our partnership with Petit Forestier Group, a company that shares our vision of sustainable innovation and to helping customers in a practical energy transition,” added John Venstra, Head of International Key Accounts, IVECO.
