Dutch dairy transport specialist Van Der Mierden Transport has taken delivery of a distinctive DAF XD Electric for milk collection operations. The 4x2 electric tractor combines a 350 kW driveline and 525 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of more than 500 kilometres.

Marks & Spencer is expanding its electric heavy-duty fleet with ten DAF XD Electric trucks. The rollout marks the retailer's transition from pilot projects to wider deployment and includes the UK's first DAF truck capable of powering a refrigerated trailer directly from its traction battery.

The DAF XF 350 will be used to transport the energy byproduct of the milling process: within the MartinoRossi ecosystem, out of approximately twenty daily trips, at least three or four involve this material, which is destined for biomethane plants.

The first truck, a XG+ tractor with 350 kW/480 hp, will be delivered to the German logistics service provider Hellmold & Plank. Now, DAF offers a complete series of EV-trucks, which ranges up from a 12 tonne XB Electric for city distribution up to the XG and XG+Electric for longer haul applications.
