pepper motion was lately declared insolvent. Quite a challenging position, which started in February 2024, with the company looking for new investors. Now, German sources state that an unknown Turkish group acquired pepper motion, bringing a possible strategic reorganization.

The plan is to build a fully integrated vertical production facility, similar to Tesla, for the conversion of diesel buses and trucks as well as the construction of new vehicles, including battery production of up to 20 GWh. About 600 million US dollars will be invested.

The Toyota fuel cell is now being used for an initial 25 hydrogen trucks based on the Mercedes Benz Atego. These are currently being put into operation by Paul Nutzfahrzeuge.

As part of the agreement, pepper will take over the 7.5-ton e-truck "BAX" developed by BPW into its product portfolio. BPW supplies pepper with core components such as the all-electric eTransport axle.

pepper motion GmbH (here a post about the IAA) has concluded a supply contract for battery systems with Polish company Impact Clean Power Technology. As for every lithium-ion battery unit, the individual module has a capacity of 60 kWh.
