Alpitronic has introduced a new Depot Dispenser for electric truck and bus fleets, providing up to 400 kW per charging point as part of its distributed HYC1000 charging system.

The new solution is designed for commercial vehicles charging during scheduled depot dwell times and complements Alpitronic’s existing solutions for public fast charging and megawatt charging. It will be showcased at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover.

According to Alpitronic, operators can size the charging infrastructure according to their existing fleet and subsequently expand it as the number of electric vehicles or operational requirements change.

Up to eight charging points from one HYC1000 cabinet

The Depot Dispenser operates across a voltage range of 150 to 1,000 V, with an output current of up to 400 A and maximum charging power of 400 kW.

Power is supplied by the central HYC1000 Power Cabinet, which Alpitronic says operates with an efficiency above 98%. Each cabinet features eight outputs and, when configured exclusively with the new Depot Dispensers, can supply up to eight CCS charging points.

Available power can be dynamically allocated among connected vehicles according to factors including grid capacity, vehicle dwell times and charging windows. This allows fleet operators to add charging points as their electric fleet expands while managing power within the available capacity of the site connection.

Alpitronic says the approach is particularly suited to logistics and bus depots, where additional grid capacity may be limited or take time to become available.

Flexible installation for different depot layouts

The Depot Dispenser can be wall-mounted, installed on a pedestal or positioned overhead, including on a gantry or suspended from a ceiling. Different cable lengths are also available to accommodate different vehicle parking and circulation layouts. The product will initially be available in Europe, with additional markets expected to follow.
