Daikin Transport Refrigeration will participate in the IAA Transportation, the leading international trade fair scheduled from 20 to 25 September in Hannover. There, the company will introduce some important updates to the new trailer refrigeration platform, Exigo, introduced for the first time last year at Solutrans Lyon, where we had a great chat with part of the company management.

Daikin Transport Refrigeration at IAA Transportation

«We want to get ready to electric mobility, without neglecting the current requirements of our customers. Talking about light trucks or vans, we’ve already launched full electric products and we’re also testing the use of photovoltaic panels, keeping up to our philosophy based on a unique layout that can receive inputs from more than one source». These are some of the key concepts highlighted at that time. The Exigo E1500 platform was the very first Daikin-branded product in the field of transport refrigeration.

Moreover, Evren Akçora, Business Unit Leader, Daikin Transport Refrigeration, in this interview went deeper into the global company’s strategies and scenario, with Europe (and Italy, following the acquisition of specialized company Zanotti) right at the core of it. «Transport refrigeration is a rather new business for Daikin, therefore getting even more attention from the executives. Our team and business are growing rapidly and our investments are increasing significantly, all of which translates into new and innovative solutions for, and opportunities in, the transport refrigeration market», he told us. We’re quite curious to see what’s going to happen next.
