Announced at the IAA International Press Workshop held in Frankfurt, Daimler Truck introduced the new TruckCharge brand in Europe. TruckCharge covers consulting, hardware and digital service, including all the company’s existing and future offerings relating to e-infrastructure and the charging of electric trucks. From energy generation through to vehicle operations, Daimler Truck intends to cover all the major aspects of e-mobility in the truck sector.

TruckCharge is targeted not only at truck fleet operators but also at industrial companies with their own or an outsourced truck fleet. As vehicles of different OEMs are generally used, TruckCharge is available irrespective of the truck brand. The brand will be officially launched at IAA Transportation in September.

Daimler Truck’s TruckCharge: the “Depot Charging” package

In the meantime, Daimler Truck offers its customers the possibility to purchase fast-charging stations from its dealerships. The “Depot Charging” package includes consulting, hardware sales and technical service as well as financing solutions from Daimler Truck Financial Services for the charging infrastructure. Also, qualified Daimler Truck partners will carry out the installation on request.

The first pilot projects were launched at various dealerships in Germany at the end of this May, the rollout is currently taking place, with further European countries gradually being added. Alpitronic is the strategic partner for the charging stations.

“We want to make e-mobility simple and profitable for our customers – also beyond the purchase of electric trucks. With TruckCharge, we are now bundling our range of solutions under one brand and plan to continuously expand the portfolio”, said Karin Rådström, CEO Mercedes-Benz Trucks.
