IAA 2026, AUMOVIO brings integrated software, electrification and autonomy strategy
AUMOVIO will present an integrated technology portfolio at IAA Transportation 2026, combining telematics, software-defined vehicle architectures, autonomous driving and electrification. The approach reflects the growing convergence of digital technologies aimed at improving efficiency and reducing complexity for truck manufacturers and fleet operators.
As the commercial vehicle industry faces increasing pressure from rising operating costs, driver shortages, decarbonisation targets and growing vehicle complexity, AUMOVIO believes the next step in mobility will not be driven by individual technologies, but by their integration.
At IAA Transportation 2026, the company will present a portfolio built around four strategic pillars — fleet efficiency, software-defined commercial vehicles, autonomous driving and electrification — highlighting how connected technologies can help manufacturers and fleet operators improve operational performance while reducing complexity.

From tachographs to connected fleet ecosystems
One of the company’s key messages concerns the evolution of fleet management. Through its VDO Ecosystem, AUMOVIO is expanding the traditional role of the digital tachograph by integrating compliance, fleet management and tolling services into a single connected platform.
The objective is to automate data management, reduce administrative workload and transform regulatory compliance into a source of operational efficiency, enabling fleets to make better use of vehicle and driver data.
Software becomes the new vehicle architecture
AUMOVIO also sees software-defined commercial vehicles as one of the major transformations currently reshaping the industry.
Rather than supplying individual electronic components, the company is positioning itself as a system partner capable of combining high-performance computing, connectivity, over-the-air updates and software services into integrated vehicle architectures. According to AUMOVIO, this approach allows manufacturers to accelerate development cycles while managing increasingly complex commercial vehicle platforms.
Focus on autonomous driving and electrification
Autonomous driving will also feature prominently at the company’s IAA stand, with AUMOVIO showcasing its ongoing collaboration with Aurora to industrialise autonomous trucking technology for the North American market. The partnership combines Aurora’s autonomous driving software with AUMOVIO’s expertise in sensors, high-performance computing, system integration and automotive-grade production, targeting commercial deployment in 2027.
Alongside automation, the company will present its portfolio of electrification technologies, including battery management systems, DC/DC converters, charging infrastructure and digital services for fleet energy management. The aim is to support both vehicle manufacturers and fleet operators throughout the transition to electric commercial vehicles.
