Milence started to build new charging hub located in Zaragoza, Spain. With this first hub, Spain becomes Milence’s eighth market and strengthens its commitment to develop Europe’s largest public charging network for heavy-duty electric.

The charging hub is located in Zaragoza Logistics Platform (PlaZa), Spain’s most prominent logistics areas. This is a strategic location in the capital of the north-eastern Spanish region of Aragon. Zaragoza is also an important logistics hub in Europe due to its connection to two major TEN-T corridors, the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.

Milence to land in Spain. Two phases, first chargers installed in 2025

As usual, Milence foresees two different phases. In phase one, the charging hub will be equipped with four high-performance Combined Charging System (CCS) chargers, powering up to four bays. The second phase will incorporate additional charging bays including Megawatt Charging System (MCS) chargers. The first phase is expected to be operational in the first half of 2025.

“Each new hub is an important milestone in building the infrastructure necessary for a sustainable transport network across Europe. We remain committed to scaling up the transition to electric heavy-duty vehicles at a pace that meets the needs of the market. The road ahead is ambitious, but I am confident that Milence is well positioned to lead this change, working closely with key partners such as the Government of Aragon to make this vision a reality”, said Anja van Niersen, Milence CEO.
