Milence, the joint venture shared by Daimler Truck, TRATON and Volvo, will open its very first charging hub in the Netherlands by the end of November. The announcement was made via a LinkedIn message on the official page. Why Venlo? Because it’s “one of Europe’s leading logistics hubs and ideally positioned for international trade”, as stated by Milence.

How’s the new Milence Charging Hub

With the new Milence Charging Hub, Truck Parking Venlo will be the first secure truck parking facility in the Netherlands to offer a charging solution for electric trucks. Indeed, Truck Parking Venlo is a newly built facility with existing amenities tailored to the needs of truck drivers.

Milence has denied the presence of MCS (Megawatt Charging Systems) in the Venlo facility. Not yet, they said, even though MCS will be added in the future, when they’re truly available in the market. The first charging hub will be equipped with 2 chargers and have 4 charging bays when it opens at the end of November. Additional charging bays are planned for the first quarter of 2024.
