At the Blainville-sur-Orne plant, located in Northern France, Renault Trucks has recently celebrated its 2,000th electric truck manufactured. It’s quite a significant milestone in the recent story of the company, which has been investing quite a lot on electrification lately. As we wrote here, Renault Trucks celebrated the first 1,000 electric trucks produced in Blainville in October 2022, more or less two years ago.

Renault electric trucks, the words of President Bruno Blin

The news was shared by Renault Trucks president, Bruno Blin, via social media. Blin referred to the factory as “a symbol of our commitment to a more environmentally conscious future”.

The Blainville facility is the 1st electric truck plant in Europe and has been leading the way since 1956. With a dedicated 18,000 square meters building, Renault Trucks launched electric truck production in 2020, with the groundbreaking D and D Wide E-Tech models.
