Hydrogen

The Volvo fuel cell trucks will be tested in Northern Sweden and in Spain to expose the vehicles to both extremely cold and warm operating conditions. During the testing period Everfuel will provide a moveable hydrogen station to refuel the trucks at both test locations.

The fuel cell truck model will be introduced to the market after January 2023 and used by the partners at actual distribution sites in Fukushima Prefecture and Tokyo social implementation projects.

The money is expected to fund 35 companies for 41 research, development and deployment projects on a wide range of hydrogen technologies, including electrolysers, fuels cells and storage. The funding is expected to unlock €8.8 billion of private investments.

Hynion is set build the hydrogen stations for the future in Västerås and Jönköping. Everfuel Sweden AB has received about 7.5 million euro grant for building three hydrogen refuelling stations around the cities of Helsingborg, Luleå and Sundsvall.
