We’ve been following quite in the latest years the evolution of pepper motion, a German company focusing its activity on electrification. At first, the company was supposed to start manufaturing electric vehicles. Later on, pepper management was forced to restructure the company itself, thus limiting the activity to supply its innovative electric drive system to third parties. So, electrification kit was supposed to be the technological core of pepper motion.

Then, the German player was lately declared insolvent. Quite a challenging position, which started in February 2024, with the company looking for new investors. Now, German sources state that an unknown Turkish group acquired pepper motion, bringing a possible strategic reorganization. Indeed, the latest news spread by pepper was about an expected will to approach the potentially huge Indian retrofit market. Let’s see what will happen, and whether the company’s plans will be confirmed.
